Our History
Established in 1947, Heyfordian Travel is a family owned and managed business. The transport roots of the family go back to 1890 when a branch of the family were the village carriers in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire from where the name Heyfordian originates. Haulage was the mainstay of the family in the 20th century with mechanised trucks introduced after the First World War. Haulage continued after the Second World War when the founder of Heyfordian identified a need for passenger transport. The business prospered because the founder soon acquired a reputation for providing high quality customer care.
Present Day...
The present directors have built on that reputation and continue to offer high quality customer care to a wide range of companies, educational establishments, sports and social clubs and individuals – to anyone, indeed, who has a need to move numbers of people from place to place reliably and in comfort and safety.
They have done this by maintaining a fleet of more than 60 modern coaches manned by experienced professional drivers and with an equally dedicated support staff. Our friendly staff will deal with your enquiry for coach hire and a competitive quotation will be sent to you promptly.
All Heyfordian coaches are serviced and maintained on site at Bicester by the company’s own experienced engineering staff, ensuring that a high level of safety and reliability is maintained.
Transporting many thousands of people over the years has given Heyfordian a greater insight into the needs of its customers and enabled it to develop further the founder’s concept on which the business was built – CUSTOMER CARE.
